Stamping by the Sea-Tybee Island: Manilla Envelope Junk Journal

In this class we will be creating a junk journal from a simple envelope. The finished journal will be approx 4.5”x6” We will be collaging onto the envelope to create a soft cover journal that has a leather-like texture. 

Supplies:

Your class kit will include:

• Envelope
• Deli paper to stamp for cover 
• Vintage Book pages, coffee dyed paper and more for signature. 
• Thread 
  

Supplies needed:

• Matte Medium (gel or collage medium and clear gesso would also work)
• Acrylic paint* (brown or black for a vintage looking cover or use your favorite color)
• Baby wipes* (or wet paper towel)
• Awl* 
• Heat tool
• Scissors 
• Paint Brush or old credit card*

Optional:

• Your favorite stamps (we will be stamping on Deli paper and collaging our cover)
• Archival ink
• Acrylic Blocks
• Ribbon or trim for closure 

*I will have some class supplies to share. Also feel free to bring your own papers for the journal if you prefer.
